On the afternoon of August 20, 2024, EDT’s volunteer team visited a local nursing home for the eleventh time to carry out a caring initiative, bringing warmth and compassion to the elderly.

The event began with Mr. Gunther, General Manager of EDT, extending sincere greetings to the residents and presenting them with thoughtfully prepared gifts. The elderly recipients were all smiles, creating an atmosphere of warmth and connection.

Amid a solemn yet enthusiastic mood, Wesley, a new member of the volunteer team, performed the classic song "On the Taihang Mountains," leading everyone in reminiscing about the arduous years during the War of Resistance. Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance, this segment paid tribute to the revolutionary martyrs with profound respect.

Responding to the eager anticipation of the residents, General Manager Mr. Gunther took the stage to perform the timeless classic "Sweet Smile," elevating the atmosphere to its peak. The room resonated with shared singing and sustained applause, reflecting a scene of harmony and mutual joy between the volunteers and the elderly.

As the event concluded, residents and volunteers bid farewell with evident emotion. EDT firmly upholds the belief that “respect for the elderly extends to all elders,” which is not only a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation but also a corporate social responsibility. The company remains committed to supporting elderly care initiatives, taking tangible actions to fulfill its role as a responsible corporate citizen and spread positive social energy. May these efforts add warmth to the lives of the elderly, and may all seniors enjoy enduring health and happiness.

EDT will continue to actively engage in social welfare activities, steadfastly honoring its role as a corporate citizen and contributing to the promotion of a harmonious society.
