This bracket focuses on retaining and structurally supporting the heat-sink module. EDT Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) casts it to customer drawings, combining mounting posts, threaded bosses, clips, locating ribs and a shield interface in one aluminium die casting, so the module keeps a stable position relative to the main board.
Many features, one part — Posts, tapped bosses, clips and locating ribs are formed in a single tool, cutting small-part count and stacked tolerances.
Structural stiffness — Rib layout is designed to keep the bracket rigid while clamping the module, so the part does not deflect over time.
Boss strength — Boss roots are filleted according to load direction and combined with controlled casting density to withstand screw torque and repeated service.
Shield interface — Steps and flats can be provided for EMI shields and thermal pads, avoiding interference during assembly and rework.
Repeatability and traceability — Tooling-based output stays consistent batch to batch, with inspection records kept for incoming quality control.
Each project starts with a DFM review: parting line, ejection and gate positions are agreed against the customer assembly, and flow simulation is used where needed to improve filling and venting. After casting, parts are deburred and CNC machined on tapped holes and mating faces, then checked to first-article and in-process plans. CMM, profile projector and roughness tester are available for critical dimensions.
Suited to server heat-sink modules, optical module cooling assemblies, switch cooling structures and other internal electronics parts that need retention, support and shield compatibility at the same time.
For custom server cpo heat sink bracket (module retention) please contact EDT Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Send drawings, samples or application requirements and our engineers will review the casting, machining and finishing route and come back with a technical assessment and quotation.
