EDT Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) die casts aluminium motor cooling brackets for motor and drive manufacturers. A dense pin-fin array is formed directly on the base plate, replacing the conventional extruded-plus-inserted-fin approach: fewer process steps, no contact thermal resistance from inserted fins, and better structural integrity, with mounting holes and locating features integrated in the same part.
Pin fins cast in one piece — No staking, welding or riveting of separate fins, so there is no joint thermal resistance and no risk of fins loosening in service.
Large cooling area, manageable airflow — Pin spacing and profile can be tuned to the airflow direction and available height, balancing surface area against pressure drop and dust build-up.
Structure and cooling combined — The bracket carries and locates the motor while acting as the heat sink, cutting part count and assembly layers.
Stable mounting — Base holes and locating edges are formed in the same tool, with CNC finishing where needed to keep the seating face accurate.
Finish options — Sand blasting, anodising or painting can be applied for corrosion resistance and appearance.
Pin-fin geometry is sensitive to filling and venting, so gate position, vent slots and ejection are confirmed at tool design stage and verified by flow simulation. In production, base flatness, fin integrity and hole positions are inspected to drawing, with CMM and microscope checks for short fills and cold shuts.
Used on industrial motors, fan and pump motors, servo motors and drive modules, and also on inverters and power supplies that require dense cooling fins.
