EDT Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) die casts aluminium chassis support components for commercial and special-purpose vehicles. These are large, thick-walled parts produced on 850 t and 950 t cold chamber machines, where the priorities are density in heavy sections, load capacity and fatigue resistance.
Large tonnage capability — 850 t and 950 t cold chamber machines handle the projected area and clamping force required by commercial vehicle structures.
Density in thick sections — Gating design, local pressurisation and die temperature control reduce shrinkage porosity in heavy walls.
Load capacity and fatigue — Ribs and transition fillets follow the load path to lower stress concentration under long-term vibration and shock.
Mounting accuracy — Mounting holes, bush bores and mating faces are CNC machined to fit the frame without on-site adjustment.
Heavy-duty corrosion protection — Shot blasting, sand blasting, e-coating or powder coating can be applied against mud, salt spray and stone impact.
Stability in large castings depends on process control. Flow analysis confirms filling and solidification sequence, and shot velocity, intensification and die temperature are monitored during casting. Blanks are deburred and shot blasted before machining, critical dimensions and wall thickness are verified on CMM, and internal quality by ultrasonic or CT methods, with load and fatigue testing available when required.
Used for frame brackets, suspension and damper mounts, subframe connections and chassis structures on commercial and special vehicles, and also for medium-to-large load-bearing parts in construction and agricultural machinery.
