1. Multi-Slide Die Casting Machines

EDT operates 4 multi-slide die casting machines, which represent high-efficiency production equipment in modern foundry industries. These machines feature three core components: high-pressure injection units, precision mold sets, and rapid cooling systems. During operation, molten metal first enters the injection chamber, where high-pressure hydraulic cylinders forcefully propel it into the mold cavity at extremely high speeds. The multi-slide mold design allows flexible adjustments to accommodate complex geometries. Once the cavity is filled, an efficient cooling system rapidly solidifies the casting, followed by synchronized slide movements for automatic ejection.

2. Hot Chamber Die Casting Machines

In hot chamber die casting machines, the injection chamber is submerged in molten metal within a furnace, while the injection mechanism is mounted above the crucible rather than directly connected to the machine base.

Advantages:

    • Simplified processes with high production efficiency

    • Minimal metal loss and excellent process stability

    • Best suited for zinc alloys and other low-melting-point materials

Limitations:

    • Prolonged exposure to molten metal may reduce the lifespan of the injection chamber and plunger

    • Potential increase in iron content in alloys

    • Primarily used for zinc alloys but also applicable to small aluminum/magnesium alloy castings

EDT currently operates 6 hot chamber die casting machines (ranging from 50T to 200T), mainly for zinc alloy production.

3. Cold Chamber Die Casting Machines

In addition to hot chamber machines, EDT has 7 cold chamber die casting machines (from 280T to 1600T), enabling the production of a wide variety of components.

How they work:

    • Molten metal is precisely poured into the injection chamber via an automated ladling system.

    • A high-pressure plunger forces the metal into the mold cavity at high speed.

    • The casting solidifies under sustained pressure.

Key features:

    • Ideal for aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys (higher melting points)

    • Two main types: Horizontal (most common) and vertical (including fully vertical)

    • Horizontal models dominate automotive and electronics applications due to their stability and efficiency

    • Separate furnace design prevents prolonged exposure to molten metal, extending equipment life

4. CNC Machining Centers

EDT is equipped with 13 CNC machines for precision post-processing, enhancing automation, speed, and safety in production.
