EDT Diecasting Technology (Suzhou) die casts brackets and accessories for automotive gear shifter mechanisms. These parts transmit and locate shift effort, so hole patterns and stepped features must hold an accurate dimension chain, and structural stiffness has to suppress deflection and slack feel during operation.

• Stable dimension chain — Mounting holes, pivot bores and stop faces are machined in one set-up to avoid datum transfer errors and keep shift travel consistent.

• Weight reduction — Variable wall thickness and pockets cut mass while stiffness targets are still met, supporting vehicle weight goals.

• Reliable assembly — Dowel holes, clips and studs are cast in, and bushes or inserts can be added to extend wear life.

• Finish options — Sand blasting, painting, e-coating or anodising can be specified for visible interior parts and corrosion resistance.

Process and quality control

Hole position accuracy and batch consistency are the critical factors. DFM review fixes the parting line and machining datums, then parts are deburred and CNC machined on holes and mating faces. Finished parts are inspected for position, flatness and assembly clearance, with first-article approval and patrol records to automotive expectations.

Applications

Used for brackets, linkage accessories and mounting bases in gear shifters, column shifters and rotary shifters, and also for pedal boxes, parking brakes and centre console structures.
